Potenza Creative was asked to reimagine a new brand for American Sports Network (ASN), a national TV network that televises multiple NCAA Division 1 college sports conferences as well as professional racing and other professional sports.
The Ad campaign for American Sports Network spanned from traditional media which included collateral, cards and outdoor advertising, and an engaging interactive campaign that generated an increasing amount of followers and “likers” which in return generated more traffic than ever through their website. Every town loves their team, so we made banners throughout town with nostalgic sayings, figures and cheers from the town home teams which generated a lot of approval from fans and sports enthusiasts.
Besides televising games, ASN provides analysis from the game’s top experts, delves into the human side of competition and shows the best of today’s student-athletes. Our aim was to start with the concept of “competition” but end with an icon that also represented unity symbolizing the experience we all share as fans of sports culture. We used a shield to represent competition while also using the American red, white and blue symbolism to represent what unites the divided conferences and show what we all share as American sports fans.
